What is Cosplay?

Cosplay, short for Costume Play, is a performance art that centers on costume design and acting. The participants create and wear costumes and accessories to represent certain characters from fiction. This can range from movies to books to even video games! There are other subcategories that include historical dress and characters made up by the participant.
